Retro Marine Hulls

We use Inferno Marine built "River Runner" hulls, high quality Australian made skiboat hulls.  We can assist you to upgrade your old boat by preparing one of these hulls (Stage 1), and optionally transferring the running gear (Stage 2).

River Runner Hulls

  • Available as Stage 1 (complete hull) or
Stage 2 (completed hull & running gear)
  • Vessel Length is 5.4 m ~ Long
  • Internals (screen to transom ) 2.5 m ~ Long
  • Inside Beam (outside seat to seat) 1.5 m ~ Wide
  • Rear (across rear seat) 1.2 m ~ Wide

Do I need to upgrade?

  • Do the floors or bearers need replacing?
  • Is the gel coat badly faded or cracked?
  • Any delaminating?
  • Is your old ski boat insurance policy getting harder to renew, with costly inspections?

Your current boat may need the floors or bearers replaced. The gel coat may be badly faded or cracked. Damaged or cracked gel coat can indicate the hull is under stress resulting in strength and safety issues. Often with clinker style boats or retro style boats, delaminating can occur. This means the layers of fibre glass can start to drift apart causing a potential problem.  Stronger the hull, the less chance of potential problems.

Older ski boat insurance polices are harder to renew with costly inspections each year a new River Runner Hull is a solution to a problem.

Stage 2 - Completed Hull and Running Gear

We can give you a price to transfer the running gear from your old boat (plus some new components) to a new completed River Runner Hull.  Offering a Stage 2 presents difficulty in costing because each Stage 2 will be different based on requirements.

A Stage 2 hull, for us, comprises of Steering and Steering wheel, Fin, Cav Plate and Adjusters, Exhaust outlets, Rudder, R-bearings, Skeg drilled and fitted, Water inlet, Tiller box and Tiller arm.

From this point, we would then need to know engine, box, soft or dog clutch configurations you will be using and for you to supply those components, with appropriate engine mounting systems. This then allows us to configure the angle of the skeg, log, gland and shaft length.

This leaves you with a completed hull with running gear, saving you a lot of money as you re-use most of your old gear, mount the engine and provide the finishing touches yourself.

Stage 1 - Completed Hull

For those with the time and capability to transfer the running gear yourself, we can supply you with a completed hull including:

River Runner hull, color, gunwale rubber moulding, end caps, bucket seat frames, rear seat frame, eye hooks front and rear.
